What families and schools say.
The Societas Trust
As a multi-academy trust of schools, The Societas Trust has worked in close partnership with Dr Joe White and his team for several years. We would highly recommend their services as they have proven to be consistently professional, highly responsive, and carefully tailored to the individual needs of our schools and pupils.
The service provides a positive and solution-focused approach, ensuring that recommendations are both practical and impactful. Their assessments and reports are of a very high quality and have been instrumental in enabling our schools to match provision effectively to the needs of children. This has also supported us in accessing appropriate specialist provision where required, offering a clear and informed pathway for next steps.
More recently, the service has further strengthened its offer through the provision of Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training for staff. This has been extremely valuable in building capacity within our teams and promoting a deeper understanding of pupils’ emotional and social development.
Overall, Fieldfare Psychology is a trusted and valued partner, whose bespoke and responsive support continues to make a meaningful difference to outcomes for children and young people in our trust.

After reaching 13 weeks of the EHC assessment process, we were told there was a backlog for the LA-appointed psychology service. Our child was in a transfer year, and we had about eight weeks until a school needed to be named.
We sought the help of Joe, who produced a detailed report that was better than the ones produced by the LA for our older children.
We then sent the report to our EHC plan coordinator, who sat on it for a couple of weeks, stating that their psychology team had to review it.
I explained that Joe held the same qualifications and registration as their team, and that, by law, this was all that was required for the EHC plan process. I took matters into my own hands and sent it to their psychology team, who swiftly responded that I was indeed correct, and that the report was very detailed and would be used for my son’s EHC plan.
We ended up needing to appeal the type of school setting named and went to tribunal. The judge quoted and referenced Joe’s report when cross-referencing the LA and the inappropriate type of provision named.
We won our case and secured a place at an independent ASD school.
We highly recommend Joe’s services.

We are so glad that we engaged Dr Joe White to assess our son’s needs during the EHCP assessment process. Despite the short timescales, he took time to really listen to what we and our son said.
His report was in-depth and explored areas of need that other professionals had missed. Communication was excellent throughout the process.
We particularly appreciated Dr Joe White’s very calm manner with our son.
